ORDINANCE NO. 8022

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, 2001 ADDITION AND AMENDMENTS THERETO, RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION I: From and after the effectiveness of this ordinance and the installation of appropriate traffic control devices, the Speed Limit on 6^th Street from 430 feet east of Lawrence Avenue to Monterey Way shall be 40 MPH.

SECTION II. From and after the effectiveness of this ordinance and the installation of appropriate traffic control devices, the Speed Limit on 6^th Street from Monterey Way to the west City limits shall be 45 MPH.

SECTION III. The City Engineer is hereby directed to amend the Schedule of Speed Limits, maintained by the Office of the City Engineer, to reflect the provisions of Section I and II.
