RE: |
|
The
referenced property has been inspected and found to be in violation of the City
Environmental Code. Specifically there are several large damaged tree limbs
(north and south property lines, rear yard) that remain in the trees, creating
an unsafe condition.
The owner
of record is: Tara M Calhoun
Co-Trustees, Victor W Lomax
The
manager of the property is: Mark
Lehmann, Vintage Homes
Staff has contacted
the management company several times regarding this. Due to the length of time this
has been ongoing and the unsafe condition it creates, I am requesting a
resolution be adopted declaring the property environmentally blighted and
ordering the property owner to remove violations within 20 days. Should the
property owner fail to remove the violations, the City will contract to have
the blight removed. Expenses incurred for this would be the responsibility of
the property owner of record.
A brief
chronology of recent contact is as follows:
May 9 2006 Inspected. Several large tree limbs are ‘hanging’ in the tree –
damaged by the storms in the spring. Mailed Notice to property owner of record.
June 21 2006 Inspected, no change.
June 23 2006 Contacted management company, spoke to assistant – Christy and
advised of need to resolve. She explained their difficulty in getting a
contractor to take care of it and asked for a list of licensed contractors.
June 29 2006 City Clerk’s office e-mailed a list of licensed tree contractors to
Mark Lehmann, Manager.
July 11 2006 Inspected, no change. Called and spoke to Christy and advised the
tree limbs must be removed. I requested Mark Lehmann contact me.
July 17 2006 Inspected, no change. Took pictures.
Below are pictures
of the subject property. Please let me
know if you have questions concerning this.
Thank you.
