Improvements to Sign Code |
While not specifically related to the request on your July 25, 2006 agenda for an amendment to the Sign Code to allow certain signage, the Commission should be advised about the status on work for the re-writing of our Sign Code. I have retained Steve Chinn to assist with this work and he has begun his assessment of our Code with a primary focus on improved language, adherence to constitutional requirements, compatibility with the design guidelines, and improved graphics. Additionally, the new staff attorney beginning in August will assist with this project.
