Travis Atwood called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. and David Downing recorded the meeting minutes.
1. Review and Approval of April 2006 meeting minutes
The April 2006 Board Meeting minutes were reviewed and approved the minutes with editorial corrections by a 4-0 vote
2. Airport Manager's Report
Debbie Van Saun, Airport Manager reviewed her report. A copy of the report is attached.
3. FBO Report
Lloyd Hetrick gave an update of the 2006 Ninety-Nine’s Air Race Classic. This year there are 37 2-women teams registered for the event to be conducted June 20-23, 2006. This years competition will start in Mesa, AZ with stops in Santa Teresa, NM, Ozona, TX, Bryan, TX, Bastrop, LA, Ada, OK, Lawrence, Ks, Albert Lea, MN and ending at Menominee, MN...Lloyd will meet with City Staff to plan the service to be provided at the airport.
4. Christina Mohr Fund Raiser
Gary Fish briefed the Board on the Cristina Mohr Fund Raising Event to be held at the airport June 3, 2006. Airplane Rides will be offered to the general public and there will be a silent auction of donated items. Proceeds from the airplane rides and the auction will be donated to the Children’s Wish Foundation and the Children’s Mercy Hospital. The Knights of Columbus will be run a Pancake Feed from 7:30 to 10:30 AM and Backyard Burgers will be offering burgers from 11:00 to 2:00 PM.
5. Next Board Meeting
The next Board Meeting was set for Thursday, June 15th at 6:30 p.m. in the Richardson Memorial Pilots' Lounge at the LMA Terminal Building.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

ü 2006 Taxiway Project
A memo regarding the bids that were opened on May 16th and the recommendation from ADG to the City Commission is attached.
ü Steve Craig Hangar Project
Attached is the City Commission agenda item (site plan) that was approved on May 16th regarding an expansion of the Great Planes hangar. This item can be viewed on the City’s website as part of the consent agenda for the May 16, 2006 meeting.
