Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the June 13, 2006 meeting:
Project History. The Solid Waste Annex South, known as SWAN, is located at 320 Industrial Lane. The building was originally the C. B. W. Building. The building still has the original lighting and ceiling from when it was a manufacturing plant. When the building was purchased from the former owners, they tried to cover up the dirt and dust from the plant. The walls, ceiling grid and tiles were all spray painted white. Other renovations have been made over the years, such as painting the walls, and floor covering.

Project Details. The project includes removing all the ceiling grid, tiles, lighting, and installing new energy efficient lighting and approximately 40% recycled content ceiling tiles. We will also address the exit lighting, bringing it up to code.
Project Funding. This project was budgeted for in 2006 in the Solid Waste/Waste Reduction and Recycling Account Number 502.3530.573.60-36.
Action Request.
Approve low bid from Mohl Electric in the amount of $32,682.36.
