Cost Analysis for Road Supervisor Staff Addition

Increasing demand for paratransit services has resulted in the expansion of total service hours and work shifts throughout the life of the system.  In 2005, a realignment of shifts and the addition of a new afternoon route was required to meet increase demand during peak travel hours.  Weekday afternoon and evening demand has continued to increase in 2006, as has demand for service throughout the day on Saturdays.  To meet this demand we will add another paratransit shift during afternoon peak and evening hours.  We will add two shifts to Saturday service to cover the full service day.  The increased number of weekday afternoon driving shifts will require the addition of one full-time Road Supervisor, assigned to the affected service period, under Part II, Section 4.1 of the RFP, as an aspect of the contract scope of work.
