ELEVATOR CONTROLS AND CAR REPLACEMENT AT THE COMMUNITY BUILDING –

PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT – #B06024

Parks and Recreation requested bids to replace the elevator controls and car at the Community Building. Six bids were sent out for this project but we received only one.  The controls and car on this elevator are very old and repairs are becoming increasingly difficult due to unavailability of parts. Since this is the only elevator in this facility, it must function reliably to provide proper handicap access to all levels of the building.  This purchase was approved in the 2006 budgeting process.

Recommendation Action: 

Approve bid for elevator replacement at the Community Building from Dynatron in the amount of $38,944.00.  (Sales Tax Fund)
