RE:              Appointments to boards and commissions

I recommend the following individuals for the appointments listed below.  I have included phone numbers, if available.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority:

Reappoint Willie Amison (841.0733) to a second term that would expire 06/30/10.

Lawrence-Douglas County Humane Society:

Reappoint Mike Treanor to a second term that would end 05/31/07.

Special Alcohol Fund Advisory Board:

Reappoint Donna Osness & Debra Warren to additional terms that would expire 04/30/09.

Traffic Safety Commission:

Appoint Ken Miller (423.0735) to the vacant position that would expire 04/30/09.
