RESOLUTION NO. 6645

A RESOLUTION RELATING TO STATE AID

FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF A CITY STREET

ON OR OFF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM

Be it resolved by the Governing Body of the City of Lawrence, Kansas:

          That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City, Agreement 34-06 between the City and the Kansas Department of Transportation, giving the Secretary of Transportation authority to act for the City, and in its place and stead, to obtain for the City the benefits of State Aid and obtain the benefits of such legislation for the City on the terms and conditions set forth in such agreement as may be prepared and approved by the Secretary of Transportation and requesting and authorizing the Secretary of Transportation to undertake and complete the work for construction of a project for the improvement of the resurfacing on Iowa Street, from 23^rd Street to Irving Hill Road Overpass and from Harvard Road to 6^th Street, a city connecting link for State Highway US-59 in the City and known as Project No. 59-23 U-2091-01.
