The City Commission will consider adoption of the 2006 Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan at their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 2, 2006.  The Consolidated Plan is required by the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 and is the result of a collaborative process whereby a community establishes a unified vision for community development using federal, state, and local funds. 

 

The 2006 Action Plan includes the one year Investment Summary (attached and page 33 in the Action Plan) for the upcoming 2006 program year (August 1, 2006 through July 31, 2007). The Action Plan is available on the department website at http://www.lawrenceneighres.org/ and has been available to the public since April 7, 2006.  Staff will be available to answer questions.  

 

The Chair of the Neighborhood Resources Advisory Committee, Kirsten Roussel, will also be present at the meeting.
