RE:

T-Mobile’s Proposal to Install a Generator at the Stratford Water Tower

T-Mobile requests authority to install an emergency power back up generator at the Stratford Water Tower.  In 1997, the City leased space to T-Mobile to install antennas and supporting equipment on the top and at the base of the water tower.  T-Mobile’s agent, David Saab with Selective Site Consultants, Inc., has stated that the addition of the generator “will allow T-Mobile to maintain emergency communications as well as standard services in the event of a loss of power in the area.”

The Planning Department has reviewed, and administratively approved, the addition of the generator.   Administrative Review

We request the City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a First Amendment to Agreement to Lease of City of Lawrence, Kansas Property.  The First Amendment will allow T-Mobile to install the back up generator in conformance with the approved plans.  The Rent shall increase from $1,150.00 per month to $1,408.00 per month upon execution of the First Amendment.  Lease Amendment
