Sertoma Club’s Request to Sell Alcoholic Beverages at Broken Arrow Park

 

 

The Sertoma Club of Lawrence is planning a BBQ fundraiser at Broken Arrow Park on Friday, May 12th and Saturday May 13, 2006.  The club is requesting approval to sell alcoholic beverages at the fundraiser and for attendees to possess and consume these beverages at the park.  The club has already secured a temporary license from the Alcohol Beverage Control for this event and is ready to obtain a temporary City license. 

 

Because the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in Broken Arrow Park, an ordinance allowing the temporary sale and consumption is required.  I have attached a copy of Ordinance 7997 for consideration and approval.  This ordinance allows the temporary sale, possession, and consumption on May 12th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on May 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
