Action Items from 04/13/06 Study Session s
|
During the April 13, 2006, study sessions regarding the
Community Commission on Homelessness and the 800 Block of Pennsylvania project,
the City Commission gave the following directions to City staff.
Community Commission on Homelessness (CCH)
- For the City 2007 Budget and thereafter, CCH will review funding
requests and issues (outside agencies, alcohol fund requests, related City
budget items) and provide recommendations to the City Commission
- For the CDBG budget cycle beginning in December 2006 and
thereafter, CCH should review and provide recommendations regarding
requests
- All City department heads and the management team will be
directed to advise the CCH (through their City staff liaison) of pending
and current homelessness related issues to maximize the participation of
the CCH in response to these issues
800 Block of Pennsylvania Project
- Staff will schedule meetings with the neighborhood (Janet
Good and Phil Collison), Bo Harris, and Commissioners Schauner and
Highberger
- After Schauner/Highberger meetings, a status report will
be placed on the City Commission meeting agenda in approximately mid-May
- Staff requested copies of both PowerPoint presentations
given during the study session which will be placed with the study session
materials
