RE: Purchase of Old Fire Station No. 2
Dear Mr. Corliss and Lawrence City Commissioners,
I want to expand on my prior email regarding the purchase of Old Fire Station #2. Per the RFP, I want to address the following points:
1) Proposed use – Convert to residential or approved commercial use
2) Business Plan- Group will provide all financing and will be a cash purchase without any financing contingencies.
Operating expenses will be funded through rentals. Buyer will close within 30 days of signed contract.
3) Parking requirement will conform to city zoning requirements or through approved variance. No public financing or assistance will be required. Group will work closely with the city for necessary permits and approvals. Historic character of building will be maintained. No exterior renovations, alterations, or additions will be proposed/made.
4) We have included a proposed purchase price in our prior email and that was price is $152,000.00 USD.
Sincerely,
Jon Davis

RE: Purchase of Old Fire Station No. 2
Dear Mr. Corliss and Lawrence City Commissioners,
This letter is to express my interest in the purchase of the fire station located at 1839 Massachusetts Street. I just recently became aware of an RFP to do so today. I checked with Rich Barr and on the status of this property and he referred me to the city clerk’s office which then referred me to your office. I would make this a residential building and am prepared to offer $152,000. I would like to be notified if the commission desires to put this property out for another RFP.
Sincerely,
Jon Davis
