RE:	Fire Station No. 2 (Massachusetts Street)

Per the Commissions request I re-contacted Chief Jim McSwain (ret) and President Kathy Elkins of Local 1596 to confirm their position of using Fire Station No. 2 as a Fire Medical Museum/Education Center and Union Office.  Both Chief McSwain and President Elkins stated that there was not the full-time commitment to manage/staff the facility in a manner that would be required for the project.

In an attempt to document our departments history we will be displaying fire and medical artifacts in display cases in the new Administrative Offices.  In addition we plan on placing a number of photographs in all the district stations.
