RE:	Study Session Summary from March 15, 2006   -  Study Session with County Commission and Economic Development Board on ECO2 – Open Space/Industrial Space Issues

City Commission direction from this study session:

In cooperation with County staff, prepare a timeline for actions that need to be taken to have a funding mechanism in place for Fiscal Year 2007.  No direction at this time on the funding mechanism.

Provide to all study session participants a copy of annual League of Kansas Municipalities comparison of local government property tax rates.  (The League informed me that this will be in the March issue of the Kansas Governmental Journal  due out in the next two weeks and I have requested an electronic copy of the tax rate book.)

As a related issue, the City Commission will also discuss possible County participation in the consultant services retained for work on the Southeast Area plan.
