RE:              Appointments to boards and commissions

I recommend the following individuals for the appointments listed below.  I have included phone numbers, if available.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Board of Electrical Examiners & Appeals:

Reappoint Daniel Beebe and Larry Frost to terms that will expire 03/31/09.

Historic Resources Commission:

Appoint Jody Meyer (864.5564) to a vacant term that will expire 03/01/09.

Housing Needs Task Force:

Appoint Jim Dick (840.0159) to the Housing Needs Task Force.

Lawrence Public Library Board:

Appoint Kathleen Morgan to fill the unexpired position held by Jeff Shmalberg, which expires 04/30/07.

Mechanical Code Board of Appeals:

Reappoint Jim Sparkes to an additional term that will expire 03/31/09.
