RESOLUTION NO. 6632

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR 2006 KANSAS EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the City of Lawrence, Kansas is eligible to apply for emergency shelter grant program funds; and

WHEREAS, it is required that certain grant applications and other appropriate documents, understandings, and assurances be submitted to the State of Kansas; and

WHEREAS, the City has determined the need for emergency shelter grant funds and has made application for such emergency shelter grant program funds.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute such grant applications and to sign certain other appropriate documents, understandings, and assurances required to be submitted to the State of Kansas for the 2006 Kansas Emergency Shelter Grant Program.

ADOPTED by the Governing Body of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, this 7^th day of March, 2006.
