ORDINANCE NO. 7978

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ENACTING SECTION 16-217  OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS CONCERNING THE MAINTENANCE OF SIDEWALKS, EXPOSED AGGREGATE, AND RETAINING WALLS ADJACENT TO A PORTION OF KASOLD DRIVE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

Section 1.    Chapter 16, Article 1, Section 16-116 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2003 Edition and amendments thereto, is hereby enacted to read as follows:

The City of Lawrence shall be responsible for all future maintenance, including snow and ice removal, of the 8 foot wide sidewalk, the exposed aggregate adjacent to the sidewalk, and the retaining walls to be constructed on the west side of Kasold Drive from Bob Billings Parkway to Clinton Parkway and the 10 foot wide recreation path, exposed aggregate and the retaining walls constructed on the west side of Kasold Drive from Clinton Parkway to 31^st Street in Lawrence, Kansas. 

Section 2.    This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect following its adoption and publication as provided by law.
