Subject:            Donation of City Vehicle     

Background – As part of the merger of the Douglas County Ambulance Service and the Lawrence Fire Department all capital equipment became property of and in the instance of vehicles titled to the City of Lawrence.  In addition all purchased capital items including vehicles would be handled in the same fashion.  We currently have a 1995 Reserve Ford Ambulance that has been requested as donations by Lecompton Fire (to be used for fire scene rehab use only.)

The county commission has already agreed to the donation of the vehicle. 

Request – We are requesting that the 1995 Ford Ambulance (City Unit 682) be donated to Lecompton Fire.
