Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the February 21, 2006 meeting:
Site Plan Extension Request – SP-10-72-04
The Seventh-Day Adventist Church is requesting an extension to their previously approved site plan for a new church facility to be located on a vacant 4 acre lot at the southwest corner of W. 6th Street and Branchwood Drive.
Project History.
On February 15, 2005, the City Commission approved Site Plan SP-10-72-04 for the Seventh-Day Adventist Church subject to five conditions.

The five conditions for the Site Plan approval were met and the Site Plan was signed and stamped by Planning on June 1, 2005. Copies of the signed and stamped Site Plan were transmitted to Neighborhood Resources to go with the building permit.
Project Status.
Per Section 20-1435, “If no building permit is issued for the site within one year from the date of site plan approval by the City Commission, the Site Plan shall be and become null and void.”
On February 7, 2006, the Planning Department received a request for an extension to the site plan, citing that they have not yet reached their financial requirements and have not had time to put together a bid packet to start their project.
Action Request. Planning Department staff recommends the City Commission approve a one year extension request (to February 15, 2007) for Site Plan SP-10-72-04 during which time a building permit would need to be acquired.
