RE: |
February 14, 2006 Agenda Item Vacation of Right-Of-Way Along Wisconsin Street
|
The City Commission will hold a public hearing on the request to vacate the east 20’ of right-of-way along Wisconsin Street adjacent to Lot 1, Block 1 of Quick’s Subdivision. The request is being made by Custom Highline, L.L.C. They desire the additional space for redevelopment of the property.
The original right-of-way was platted at 100 ft. wide. The west 10 ft. was vacated a few years ago. This is a local street (current right-of-way requirement is 60 ft). The City does not have any future needs/plans for the additional property. There are not any utility conflicts and this property is not in any historic environs.
Ms. Emily Hill, representing the HOP area, did express a concern that vacating the right-of-way would allow the business to expand closer to the street. No other public comments have been received.
Action Requested:
Open public hearing and, pending comments and discussion, approve Order of Vacation.
Respectfully submitted,
Charles F. Soules, P.E.
Director of Public Works
