Week ending January 24, 2006

Villaniche Rezoning

After checking with the applicant’s representative, the second hearing of the zoning ordinances (#7939 and 7940 previously on the December 6, 2005 City Commission agenda) will be placed back on the City Commission consent agenda for Tuesday, January 24, 2006.  Following this schedule, the zoning would be in place once the ordinances have been approved by the City Commission and published in the local paper.  Staff has contacted Alan Cowles with this information.

Kane – Hall of Famer

Oral Roberts University Athletics announces the selection of former student-athlete Jim Kane, Eagle Bend Golf Course Pro-Manager, as a class of 2006 inductee into the ORU Athletics Hall of Fame.  Kane lettered at ORU from 1978-81 and was a four-time All American at Oral Roberts.  Kane finished tenth in the 1981 NCAA Championships and 15^th in 1978 and was Oklahoma State Amateur Champion in 1979 and 1980.
