RE:              Appointments to boards and commissions

I recommend the following individuals for the appointments listed below.  I have included phone numbers.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Fire Code Board of Appeals:

Reappoint Jay Zimmerschied (331.3399) and Tracy Green (843.5277) to second full terms that will expire 01/31/09.

Lawrence Arts Commission:

Reappoint Evie Rapport (749.0873) to a first full term that will expire 01/31/09.  Appoint Dave Loewenstein (550.8531) to a first full term that will expire 01/31/09.

Lawrence-Douglas County Advocacy Council on Aging:

Reappoint Donna Swall (843.6319) and Lewis Roberts (841.3348) to additional terms that will expire 12/31/08.

Public Transit Advisory Committee: Added 01/20/06

Appoint WyLma Mortell (843.1257) to the position vacated by Joanne Garrett, which expires 12/31/07.

Recycling & Resource Conservation Advisory Board: Added 01/20/06

Appoint Daniel Poull (749.5578) to the position vacated by Steven Hughes, which expired 12/31/05.
