The Police Department is requesting to purchase 2 new BMW R1150 RT-P motorcycles from Engle Motors, Inc. This is a sole source purchase because BMW has a very strict policy on franchise sales areas. These motorcycles are to replace the two highest mileage units from the existing fleet. The total cost is $36,806.00 which is available in the 2006 Police Department Budget, account # 001-2160-561.60-08.
Recommendation Action:
Approve purchase from Engle Motors, Inc. for two (2) BMW motorcycles in the amount of $36, 806.00.
