RE:	Safe Winter Walkways

In 2004 city staff and the Roger Hill Volunteer Center developed a program called “Safe Winter Walkways”.  Efforts are underway to repeat the program this winter.  The program is described in the attached Memorandum of Understanding and program introductory flyer.

To continue the volunteer program, the City Manager needs to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.  The Memorandum of Understanding has already been signed by Margaret Perkins-McGuinness of the Roger Hill Volunteer Center and Jo Bryant of the United Way.

In addition to the program, the city will complete a winter mailing to non-residential properties in targeted areas and conduct an awareness campaign for Ordinance number 7456.
