Dear Mrs. Day,

Jerry Volesky, Knight & Remmele Architects. asked me to write you in order to clarify expansion plans for Princeton Children's Center located at 3340 Peterson Road. Lawrence. Kansas.

Since opening day, we have been increasing enrollment at a steady pace, and anticipate the need for additional classrooms to accommodate more children. Our plan is to add three classrooms in the unfinished portion of the building. entirely dedicated to kindergarten and above aged children.

The maximum number of children we will be capable of adding to the f cility is 58. If we are able to receive approval, it will enable us to dedicate the new area entirely ) these older children.

We plan to offer music lessons and dance programs. which are currently impractical due to the disturbance it can generate for our babies. Our center is proudly one of only a few that accepts babies in Lawrence, and we wish to continue doing so.

I have spoken with Greg Cromer, who represents the office park, and he says that there is plenty of overflow parking available in front of his adjacent building. He also informed me that the vast majority of parents use the front entrance on Peterson Road rather than Sterling. The neighbors east of our facility have told him that they have been satisfied with the outcome of our playground area, and traffic hasn't been a problem.

If it is attainable, my instructors and I would like to be ready by the next enrollment period, May 15, 2005. I can understand how these processes require professional review and input by various parties, so please feel free to contact me with any questions at 749-4500.

Thank you very much in advance for helping us facilitate our request for approval.

Michelle Kueser

Dear Sandy.

I am writing in regards to Princeton Children's Center located at 3340 Peterson Road. Lawrence. Kansas. I understand from a conversation with Jerry Volesky. Knight & Remmele Architects, you requested all feedback that I have received from the surrounding neighbors.

It is with pleasure to report since the daycare opened, all comments from both the neighbors and community at large have been highly positive. The neighbors called after the fence had been installed and thanked me for carrying through with our promises.  I have not received one complaint about noise, increased traffic, or any annoyance created by the daycare center.

I hope this information is helpful in guiding your advisement to both the planning commission and city commission. Please feel free to contact me at 856-0007 if you should require further information.

Sincerely Yours,

Greg A. Cromer. Broker. President American Real Estate & Investments. Inc.

Sandra,

I am e-mailing you this morning in regards to the opening of the after school program at Princeton Children's Center. My son currently attends Princeton and I will be a parent in need of such a program in the future. I work in Kansas City and obviously would need an after school program for my son. Please consider that the program be implemented.

Thank you for your time. Sara Dawson

   Subject: Day Care Expansion

Dear Mrs. Day:

I am writing this message on behalf of Princeton Children's Center, 3340 Peterson Road, Lawrence, KS, regarding the need to expand before and after school day care services. As parents who commute out-of-town to work, and given that many schools do not provide before and after school activities, alternative programs must be sought. We are no exception. Many families in Lawrence face the same issue.

We are parents of a child who currently attends Princeton before and after school. We support Princeton's vision to expand their services, to benefit families who rely on quality child care throughout the day.

Respectfully,

Scott & Norman Simmons
