Chairman Bob Brookman called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
1. Review minutes from October 20, 2004.
Member Kenny Breithaupt made a motion
to approve the minutes from the October
20, 2004 meeting. Member Chuck Hoag
second the motion. The motion passed 4-0.
2. Discuss recommendation for code adoption.
Chairman Bob Brookman started the discussion by stating that his recommendation was to adopt the 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code. Chairman Bob Brookman went on by saying he was not comfortable with Chapter 31 of the 2003 International Residential Code. Chairman Bob Brookman stated if the Board was going to amend the International Code to look like the Uniform Code, it would be easier to just go with the Uniform Code.
Member Kenny Breithaupt agreed and made a motion to move forward with the adoption process of the 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code. Chairman Bob Brookman second the motion, the motion passed 5-0.
3. Hand out International Plumbing Codes.
Staff handed out copies of the 2003 International Plumbing Code.
4. Update on sewer stub letter to Commission.
Staff informed the Board that they would need to be at the Commission meeting that the letter was presented and staff was looking at getting it on the Commission’s agenda for the 7th or 14th of December. Staff also told the Board that city staff members from Public Works and Neighborhood Resources was planned for late November regarding the stub issue. Staff stated pended the out come of that meeting the Board may want to postpone the letter to the Commission.
With no additional comments Chairman Bob Brookman asked if there was any new business. Member Frank Lewis made a motion to cancel the December 2004 Plumbing Board meeting. Member Kenny Breithaupt second the motion, the motion passed 5-0.
With no more new business a motion was made by Member Frank Lewis to adjourn the meeting, Co-Chairman Jim Carpenter second the motion, the motion passed 5-0.
Chairman Bob Brookman adjourned the meeting at 7:25 p.m.
