Agenda Item Request: Project #20-ST4-301(C), 15th and Lawrence Avenue Stormwater Improvements |
1. Project Description/History. This project will stabilize a steep bank of the stream located north of 15th Street, east of Lawrence Avenue. The existing stream bank has eroded badly enough that utility lines are threatened with collapse and homeowners are concerned. Originally the project was requested by the homeowners. The threat to the sanitary sewer main made this project a priority for the City. The project is roughly 400 feet in length. The bank will be stabilized with bioengineered materials and plantings.
2. Project Status. The plans for this project were completed in 2002. Easements for the work were obtained this year as part of the Orchards Golf Course conservation easement agreement. The project must be constructed between December and April to facilitate the bioengineered plantings.
3. Project Funding. Funding for this project was included in Resolution 6399, authorizing the issuance of bonds for stormwater improvements (2002.)
4. Action Request. Set a bid date of December 14, 2004 for Project #20-ST4-301(C), 15th and Lawrence Avenue Stormwater Improvements.
